Circle of Pearls Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize the efforts of African American females who have overcome obstacles in life and persevered.

The scholarship is to be awarded to African American female high school seniors who have excelled academically during their high school careers. ​

The winner will be selected on the documentation and recommendations submitted.  The winner will be honored in Spring 2023.

  1. Must be an African American female high school senior
  2. Must plan to pursue post high school studies (2 or 4 year college/university)
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  4. Must be a resident of a Dallas-Fort Worth County.

  1. Click here to complete the application for this scholarship.
  2. Then scan the following documents:
    1. Digital photo (headshot)  in JPEG or PNG format
    2. Two letters of recommendation from any of the following:  High School Teacher/Administrator/Counselor, Community Leader, Minister/Church Leader or Supervisor from work or Community Service Project.
    3. Official high school transcript with rank and unweighted GPA (4.0 scale)
    4. Documentation of volunteer hours, awards, etc. with dates of activities and total hours calculated
    5. In 500 words or less explain how you have overcome a major obstacle in your life and persevered. 
  3. Attach and send documents to Scholarship Committee:
    1. Gmail Account Holder: Please create a folder with your supporting documentation. Be sure to update the share settings on your folder to include that "anyone with the link" may view. Your folder should be titled:  ““CircleofPearl_[First and Last name]”  Send the folder link to kappazpbscholarship1920@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023. “CircleofPearl_[First and Last name].”
    2. Non- Gmail Account Holder: Email your PDF file which includes your transcript, letters of recommendation, community service hours, and statement. Your digital photo will need to be attached separately as a JPEG or PNG. Send all documents to kappazpbscholarship1920@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023. The subject of your email should be "“CircleofPearl_[First and Last name].”
