Circle of Pearls Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize the efforts of African American females who have overcome obstacles in life and persevered.

The scholarship is to be awarded to African American female high school seniors who have excelled academically during their high school careers. ​

The winner will be selected on the documentation and recommendations submitted.  The winner will be honored in Spring 2024.

  1. Must be an African American female high school senior.
  2. Must plan to pursue post high school studies (2 or 4 year college/university)
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  4. Must be a resident of a Dallas-Fort Worth County.

  1. Click here to complete the application for this scholarship.
  2. Upload the following documents via a shared Google folder:
    1. Digital photo (headshot)  in JPEG or PNG format.
    2. Official high school transcript with rank and unweighted GPA (4.0 scale).
    3. Two letters of recommendation from any of the following:  High School Teacher/Administrator/Counselor, Community Leader, Minister/Church Leader or Supervisor from work or Community Service Project.
    4. In 500 words or less explain how you have overcome a major obstacle in your life and persevered. 
    5. Documentation of volunteer hours, awards, etc. with dates of activities and total hours calculated.
  3. Attach and send documents to the Kappa Zeta Scholarship Committee via your shared Google folder.​  To organize and share your scholarship documents via Google Drive for the Scholarship Committee: Create a folder in your Google Drive. Update the share settings on your folder to include that "anyone with the link" may view. Your main folder should be titled: First Last_23-24 KZ Scholarships (ex: Jane Doe_23-24 KZ Scholarships). Inside of the main folder, you will create and name five (5) additional folders titled as listed on the student checklist.  Click here to download the student checklist. Send the folder link to [email protected] by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 31, 2024. The subject of your email should be “Fairilla E. White Scholarship _[First and Last Name]."​
