A Message from Cornelia Hicks,
Kappa Zeta Chapter President

Dear Dallas Community,
As President of the Kappa Zeta Chapter, I am honored to share our passionate commitment to amplifying the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. throughout Dallas County.

The Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. is an opportunity for Zetas to be intentional about Social Justice, Health Justice, and Economic Justice for all worldwide. This foundational principle guides our local efforts as we work to create meaningful change in our own community. For nearly a century, our chapter has been dedicated to uplifting our community through purposeful service and meaningful partnerships.
Our mission centers on addressing the critical needs that matter most to our neighbors. Through our comprehensive programs, we are actively working to strengthen maternal and child health outcomes, expand access to mental and behavioral health resources, combat chronic diseases, alleviate food insecurity, and foster civic engagement and social responsibility. These initiatives reflect our deep understanding that true community empowerment requires addressing the whole person and the systems that support them.
I envision the Kappa Zeta Chapter continuing to execute our mission by being "Connected in Purpose, Committed in Service, and Impacting with Intention." This guiding principle drives every program we implement, every partnership we forge, and every life we touch. Our connection runs deeper than sisterhood—it extends to every individual and family we serve in Dallas County.
Since 1931, our chapter has been a cornerstone of service in the Dallas community. As we approach our 95th anniversary, we are not simply celebrating our legacy, but recommitting ourselves to the future. This milestone represents 95 years of women who understood that service is not just an obligation, but a privilege. It represents nearly a century of strong, empowered women who have consistently shown up for Dallas County with their hearts, hands, and fervent dedication.
Our anniversary celebration will showcase impactful service initiatives and collaborative partnerships that demonstrate our continued relevance and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our community. We believe in the power of working together, and we invite community members, organizations, and leaders to join us in this vital work.
Amplifying the Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. is not just our call to action—it is our promise to Dallas County. Together, we will continue building a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community for all.

In service and sisterhood,
Cornelia Hicks
